Sawasdeekrup P’nong!!!

Yesterday, The Church Sattahip joined our Military Police Christian Fellowship brothers and sisters to support our Christian Pre-Cadets at the Armed Forces Academy Preparatory School in Nakhon Nayok.

AFAPS1.jpg

The annual Christmas event enjoyed prayers, music and worship services with our youngest military leaders-to-be.

AFAPS.jpg

A highlight was our Featured Pastor Somsak of The Baptist Church of Chonburi:

His message was clear! “Christmas is ALL ABOUT Phra Yezu!”

my-christ1.jpg

However, he prefaced his lesson with an amusing cartoon that described Adam and Eve’s fall from grace that took them from The Garden of Eden to be individual board pieces in the game of Monopoly!

Their fine from Genesis?

JAIL!.jpg

Their ONLY Salvation?

John 3:16 – 17 says it all! Kup Khun Prachao!!!

Interesting was Pastor Somsak’s use of the term “Snaker” for the Father of All Lies! No peace EVER comes from The Evil One P’nong! All lies, wars, and destruction are a result of Satan’s evil plan and our wages of sin.

But TODAY (thuk wan!) our study is ALL ABOUT Christ Jesus! Amen!!!

And His MISSION is to be The Light of the World and encourage us to “love one another”!

“Joy to the Earth, The Savior Reigns!”

Next? Another video clip (“Wan Nung”) that underscored “we have NO IDEA just how many days we have in this life“. It showed a man who could see a number above everyone around him‘s heads – a number that totaled exactly how many days they had left on Earth!

To this he added Psalm 17:8 and how God loves us, puek raow, His Children:

“Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings”. Hallelujah Pastor Somsak!

Therefore, Christ Jesus is God’s Gift to US! Amen!!! (John 3:16-17)

He protects US from Satan! (Isaiah 9:6)

From Isaiah 11:1-2, we find The Spirits of Phra Yezu:

1Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit. 2The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. 3And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear…

In Summary, we find that every single day is The Day to Celebrate Phra Yezu, kup khun Prachao!

For God has spoken:

“The Word Became Flesh!”

We are “ALIVE unto Christ!”

Phra Yezu is OUR “Gift from God”, kup khun Prachao!!!

Thank you to our AFAPS Hosts, the fellowship of our beloved Military Police Christian Foundation, and the family and friends we adore in Christ!

Amen!

Blessed are those who delight in His law!

March 23, 2014

Psalm 1.1 “Blessed is the man who finds his delight in the law of the Lord!”

Body Temple

Pastor Teerapong now goes back to Genesis 3:1-17 where Esau surprises Jacob and we get an early look at God’s law.

“Go back to your country and your relatives and I will make you prosper!” (Genesis 32:9).

Jacob knew he must follow God and with Psalm we revisit 1:1:

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields fruit in season and whose leaf does not whither. Whatever he does prospers!” Amen!

“Please accept the present that God has brought you” (Genesis 33:11).

Amen! Hallelujah!!!

We Are God’s Temple 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

March 16, 2014

Today Pastor Teerapong proclaimed Paul’s epistle 1st Corinthian’s 3:16-17 in full:

“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.” Amen!

God's Temple paper cut outs

To underscore our happiness in God’s grace, Pastor brings us to 1st Corinthian 1:31 where Paul writes the young church in Corinth:

“Therefore as it is written, let him who boasts boast in the Lord!” Amen!

Paul continues in 2nd Corinthians 6:14-16 “Do not be yoked with unbelievers” lest they distract us from our path. “Be separate from the unclean and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you and you will be sons and daughters to me” (2nd Corinthians 6:17-18).

Mathew 6:32-33 “Do not worry!”

1st Corinthians 3:16 “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s spirit lives in you?”

Editor’s note from John 2:16 “Keep His temple clean!” Amen!

The Holy Spirit Has Been Distributed! Hallelujah!!!

March 9, 2014

Hebrews 3:7-19

Today, Senior Pastor Sursak opened with a challenge – a warning! – for us to keep strong our belief:

“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts … ”

Do not rebel  on His word! Have faith! “Do not grow weary!”

Hebrews 12:213 ” … we are surrounded by witnesses … let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

“We Have Seen and We Testify He Sent His Son” (John 5:14-15)

Hebrews 2:1-4 Warning!

Hebrews 2-1 Warning!

Here Pastor takes us to consider just how grave and dangerous our path can be:

We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For if the message spoken by angles was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by The Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard Him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will.”

John 5:39-40 “You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to to come to me to have life.”

Editor’s note: John 5:19 “Jesus gave them the answer: I tel you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can only do what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does, the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all He doe. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.”

Pastor Surasak now brings us back to the Hebrews admonition:

We must tread carefully on the correct path. And pa more careful attention to what we have been told.

Joshua 1:6 – Here Pastor raises God’s promise to Joshua:

“No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Hebrews 1-13 “In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by His Son,whom He appointed heir of all things, and thorough whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word.”

Hebrews 3-6 – We Are in His House

“Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. and we are in His house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast.” Amen!

In conclusion, Pastor invokes 1st Timothy 3:16:

The mystery of Godliness is great; He appeared in a body; was vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angles, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.” Hallelujah!!!

Pastor closed today’s lesson with a return to Hebrews 2:1-4, for we must pay careful attention to the His word, and therefore stay on our path of faith.

Praise the Lord, thank you Jesus our Savior, and let us be filled with your Holy Spirit! Amen.

The Truth Shall Set you Free! John 8:36

March 2, 2014

Today Pastor Teerapong brought home a lesson on truth. Amen!

And the truth shall set us free!

The Truth Shall Set You Free

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all who are weary … take my yoke upon

you and learn from me: I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will

feel rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Amen!!

John 8:36 “If the Son sets you free, then you are truly free.”

Romans 8:1-2 “Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit

of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”

We Have Crossed Over From Death to Life! Hallelujah!!!

John 5:24 “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, he has crossed over from death to life.

Here Pastor brings us back to Romans 8:1-2 and therefore, there is no condemnation thanks to our belief in Christ’s Sprit of Life has set us free from the law of sin and death.

Jeremiah 31:33-34 “This is the covenant I will make with Israel … I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.

I will be their God and they will my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or his brother, saying ‘Know the Lord’, because they will all know me, from the least of them

to the greatest.” Amen!

Galatians 3:13 “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law … from Abraham to the church (that is us, amen), by faith we receive the promise of the Spirit.”

Now we find we are back to John 5:24 and “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes in Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned.”

Romans 10:9-10 “Confess your faith by mouth!”

John 8:38 “Everyone who sins is a slave to sin … but God sets us free!”

Now Pastor enthusiastically reminds us of Galatians 3:13 and how it is by faith we receive freedom. Amen!

Romans 8:31-35 “If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all – how will He not also, along with Him, give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those who whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus who died, who did more than that – who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”

John 8:36 “If the Son sets you free you will be freed indeed!” Amen!

Thank you Lord! Thank you Jesus our Christ! Thanks be to the Holy Spirit and our freedom from slavery to sin! Hallelujah! His truth has set us free! Amen.

Be Still and Know I am God! Psalm 46:10

February 23, 2014

Today, Pastor Teerapong leads us to “Rejoice! Now you have received His mercy!”                   (1 Peter 2:9-10)

And this brings us to 1 Peter 1:1-2, with the belief that as God’s elect, God has chosen us with “foreknowledge of our faith”; and that we are sanctified by the Holy Spirit; and with obedience to Christ Jesus” we are saved.  Amen!

“All who receive Him, to those who believe in His name, he gave the right to become children of God!” (John 1:12)

And with Ephesians Pastor reminds us “we were once separate from Christ … without hope and without God in the world.” (Ephesians 2:12)

And the Paul continued in Ephesians 4:17 with “So I will tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live [as you had] … separated from the life of God because of ignorance.”

Here Pastor pauses to drive home these points:

1 Peter 1:1-2: As God’s elect, God has chosen us with “foreknowledge of our faith”; and that we are sanctified by the Holy Spirit; and with obedience to Christ Jesus” we are saved.

John 1:12: “All who receive Him, to those who believe in His name, he gave the right to become children of God!”

Ephesians 2:12 and 4:14: “While we were once separate from Christ … without hope and without God in the world … you must no longer live [as you had] … separated from the life of God because of ignorance.” Amen!

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience!” (Colossians 3:12)

Jesus’ Triumphal Entry to Jerusalem:

“The next day, the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went to meet Him, shouting

“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel!” (John 12:12-13)

Jesus then made another prophecy come true, as He sat on a donkey “as it was written do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion, see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt!” (John 12:14-15)

“See to it you have completed the work you have received in the Lord!” (Colossians 4:17)

“Men ought to regard us [the Church] as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things  of God.” (1 Corinthians 4:1)

“Do not receive God’s grace in vain! (2 Corinthians 6:1)

Then we harken back to Moses and “Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession!” (Exodus 19:5)

And Isaiah “You, O Israel … I will strengthen you and help you and uphold you with my righteous right hand!” (Isaiah 41:8-10)

1 Pete 2:9-10 “Rejoice! Now you have received His mercy!” Pastor now implores us “to not receive His mercy in vain; prepare yourselves; do not give up! For He said “I am with my chosen people!” Amen!

Hellelujah! Thanks be to our Father in Heaven, our Savior Lord Jesus, and His Holy Spirit!

2 Corinthians 5:14 “For Christ’s Love Compels Us!”

February 16, 2014

Today we continue from last week’s theme of God’s love for us! For Paul wrote to the wayward church in Corinth that

“Christ’s love compels us because are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” Amen!

For our Father loves us so, he sent our Christ to atone for our sins, amen!

Image

“So let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will all reap a harvest if we don’t give up!” (Galatians 6:9)

Ed. note: Paul continued on in 6:10 to add that as we have opportunity – “let us do good to all people – especially to those who belong

to our family of believers!” Amen!

And if we cross reference that with 2 Corinthians 5:13 “if we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God!

If we are in our right mind, it is for you [Lord, our church]: for Christ’s love compels us!”

Do Not Grow Weary in Doing Good: Harvest Time is Coming!

Here Pastor Teerapong leads us to the Parable of the Lost Son, Luke 15:11-32. For this lesson, Jesus describes a wayward son that ignores his blessings and leaves home.

He leaves home and squanders everything he has in debauchery and sin. It is only then, at rock bottom does he seek the solace of his family.

Here we see how joyful his father is when he recognizes his son has come home!

Much like Matthew 5:3 “Blessed is the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven!”

And blessed was this son when he confessed to his father: “I have sinned against Heaven and sinned against you.

I am no longer worthy to be called you son.”

But this boy was blessed! Weak in spirit? Yes! But blessed he was – we are – for our Father loves us!

So his father his ever loving father – for the father had a “ring put on his finger, the finest robe on his body and sandals on his feet.”

Then a fattened calf was prepared for feast and celebration! Oh what a reception our Lord above has waiting for us too, amen!

Pastor continues on now to Matthew 9:36, where Jesus “saw the crowds” and had compassion for the “harassed and helpless … like sheep without a shepherd.”

In simile, Matthew 14:14 describes when Jesus see need, he feels compassion and heals the sick, amen!

Christ’s compassion literally knows no bounds. For even upon the cross, He asked our Lord to “forgive them” who torture Him, “for they do not know what they are doing.”

Here we are reminded of our Father’s love with an image of the Prodigal Son being welcomed home with his father’s embrace and kiss of love. And from there we return

to John 3:16: For God’s love is so great He sent his only son to save us! Amen!

Yes us – wayward children of God, the unclean and poor in spirit – we are all loved by our Lord above and compelled to love in turn by Christ’s love …

that completes us! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!!

For we are “compelled by Christ’s love!”

Thank you Lord!!!

Philippians 1:1-11: Because of God’s Love for Us!

February 9, 2014

Paul and Timothy’s Letter to the young Church at Philippi, 1:1-11:

Image

“To all the saints in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons:

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!”

Here Pastor Teerapong continues our tone of God’s love for us:

“And this is my prayer that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ”.

Paul’s opening sentiment underscores that his love for the Church is a reflection of God’s love for us. Amen!

He continues to add he prays we (the Church) be “filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God!” Hallelujah!

“Rejoice in the Lord!” Paul exclaims! “Let your gentleness be evident to all!

“The Lord is near! Do not be anxious abut anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ!” (Philippians 4:4) Amen!

“For those God foreknew, He predestined to be conformed in the likeness of the Son, that He might be the firstborn among brothers. And those He predestined, He also called, those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified” (Romans 8:28).

Here Pastor asks we “testify of our faith to develop our perseverance”, amen!

Back to Philippians 4:19: “My God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

Here are go to John’s gospel where Jesus said:

“I have told your these things, so that you may have peace, In this world you would have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!” (John 16:33). Hallelujah!

Ed. Note: Here our Pastor reiterates our theme of “partnership in the gospel”; our fellowship in the Church”, just as Paul and Timothy told the Philippians:

“In all my prayers for you, I always pray in joy with thanks to your partnership in the gospel!” (Philippians 1:4)

Pastor Teerapong now brings up “why preach the gospel?” Because we must! Just as Paul said “his chains advance the gospel”, so does our sharing of the gospel, amen!

because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revisited them to little children. Yes Father, this was your good pleasure.”

And with that knowledge, “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength! (Philippians 4:13)

Hallelujah! Amen! Thank you Lord!

His Gift to Us: To Become His Children of God! Amen!!!

Ahhh! To Become Children of God! Thank you Lord!!!

Image

Today, Pastor Teerapong led us with this lyrical message:

Whether you believed or not, there’s a man who died for you!

He gave his blood and flesh and suffered so much,

He was despised, a crown of thorns placed on His head.

The blood that gushed out was used to pay for our sins,

For who is tired and weary come to the Lord,

and the Lord will help relieve,

and carry the wounded heart all the time!

The Lord understands you no matter what or where!

Amen, amen, amen! Hey! Hey!! Hey!!!

Image

John 1:12: To all who receive Him, to those who believe in His name,

He gave us the right to become His Children of God!” Amen!

Yes! He gave us the right to be His children! Hallelujah!

Pastor now adds this from Exodus 14:5-31 with an image of Moses parting the Red Sea:

“The Lord will fight for you – you need only be still!” God said to Moses. And he

commanded him to “raise your staff” and part the sea!

As the Israelites walked forward on dry land, with “two walls of water on the right and

the left”, the army of Pharaoh followed in pursuit!

But as God let the seas back in, Pharaoh’s men cried as they died

“The Lord is fighting for them!”

And the Lord’s promise that those Egyptians “would never be seen again” came to pass.

Amen!

As we heard last week with Doubting Thomas, if we can believe, He will take of all our

needs, “no matter what or where!”

Editor’s Note: Why then does God give us such challenges? So we can prove our faith …

and truly become Children of God! Amen!

For “Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more;

he Lord will be your everlasting light, your days of sorrow will end.

Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever!

Isaiah 60:20-22: They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display

of my splendor!

Psalm 37:5-7 “Commit your way to the Lord!”

Luke 1:37 “For nothing is impossible with God!”

Genesis 18:14 “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

No! For as the Prophet Isaiah said of His Children:

“They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display

of my splendor!” (Isaiah 60:20-22)

Romans 8:28: “And we know that is all things God works for the good of those who love

Him, who have been called according to His purpose!” Amen!

Hebrews 11:1: “For faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not

see”.

And last, from James 2:8, Pastor reminds us to be ever cautious:

“If you really keep the Royal Law found in scripture, and love your neighbor as yourself –

you are doing right” as true Children of God! Amen!

In conclusion, … “faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not

see”.

For as John said ”To all who receive Him, to those who believe in His name,

He gave us the right to become His Children of God!” (John 1:12) Amen!

Amen! Hallelujah!!!

Believe by Faith! Not by Sight! John 20:29!

“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed!”

Pastor Teerapong brings us today to the Book of John and the subject of belief.

John wrote that after the Christ rose, he said to his disciples:

“Peace be with you”, and with that he breathed upon them and said

“receive the Holy Spirit”! Amen

But Thomas – who had not been present when Christ had first appeared to his brothers – had doubted what they had seen …

“Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and

put my “hand into his side, I will not believe.”

christ and thomas

A week later, the disciples gathered again and again Christ appeared before them in the flesh.

Again Jesus spoke:

“Peace be with you!” and gestured to Thomas …

“Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side.

Stop doubting and believe.”

Astonished, Thomas said “My Lord and my God!”

But the lesson shall not be lost: “Because you have seen me, you have believed;

blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

So Pastor returns us now to The Lesson: “Believe by Faith – Not by Sight!

And thus we shall “rejoice!”

Philippians 4:4-7: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again:

Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything;

but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Amen!

Now we go back to the first moment Christ appeared after his resurrection; to the first person to see the Christ alive again

after death in John 20:17: Mary, weeping at the tomb, realizes it is Jesus speaking to her.

“Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to the brothers and tell them

“I am returning to the Father and your Father, to my God and to your God”.

And so having first seen Mary, then the disciples in the absence of Thomas; then once again with Thomas, Christ made his was

“through all the towns and villages, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease

and sickness.” (Matthew 9:35).

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

Then he said to his disciples. “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore,

send out workers into His harvest field.” (Matthew 4:36- 38)

SONY DSC

Later, at Galilee, the disciples saw Jesus and worshiped Him, yet some doubted. Jesus came to them and said:

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing the name of the Father,

and the Son of God and the Holy Spirit; and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.

And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Romans 10:14: “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one they have not heard?

And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Romans 10:17: “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ!” Amen!

John 20:24-29: Here we are reminded once more of Doubting Thomas and His desire that we believe in what we cannot see.

John 20:21: “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you!” – to aid in The Harvest! Amen!

For in John 20:19-20, John wrote:

On the evening of the first day of the week [following His crucifixion], when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews;

Jesus came and stood among them and said: “Peace be with you!” Amen! Hallelujah!

So everyone! Today Pastor Teerapong closes with this message:

Believe! Share the Good News! Harvest the Plenty for our Lord in Heaven,  for the Son of God, and with the Holy Spirit!

Amen.
